School Improvement Plan

Our Goals:

  1. To increase academic achievement for all students in Clayton County Public Schools as evidenced by state, national, and international assessment results.
    *During the 2016-2017 school year, 80% or more students will demonstrate typical or high growth on the GMAS in ELA for 3rd through 5th  grade.
    *During the 2016-2017 school year, 80% or more students will demonstrate typical or high growth on the GMAS in Math for 3rd through 5th grade.
    *During the 2016-2017 school year, 80% or more 5th grade students will demonstrate typical or high growth on the GMAS in Science. 
    *During the 2016-2017 school year, 80% or more students will demonstrate typical or high growth on the GMAS in Social Studies. 
  2. To provide and maintain a safe, orderly and secure learning environment.
    *During the 2016-2017, CES will reduce the percentage of out of school suspension by 20%.
  3. To create an environment that promotes active engagement, accountability, and collaboration of all stakeholders to maximize student achievement.
    *During the 2016-2017 school year, we will increase parent involvement participation by 20%. 
  4. To effectively communicate the system's vision and purpose and allow stakeholder involvement in an effort to build understanding and support.
    *During the 2016-2017 school year, stakeholders will receive ongoing opportunities for involvement though increased communications. 
  5. To provide high quality support services delivered on time and within budget to promote student academic success in the Clayton County Public Schools.
    *100% of students at CES will participate in differentiated learning, remediation, enrichment, acceleration, and extended learning opportunities during the 2016-2017 school year. 
  6. To recruit and retain highly qualified and effective staff.
    *To maintain 100% of teachers and provide professional development to increase effectiveness.
